The Shuttle is a NZ made seating system (designed and made by Medifab)

Loved by kids (fun to sit in and go places)

Loved by parents (looks cool, and fun to take out and around)

Loved by therapists (the seating system offers all the postural requirements for correct positioning etc.)

An early intervention seating system…to give kids the best start in life!

A versatile, growth-adjustable mobility system complete with body supports that can be used in a variety of base options. The seat detaches by releasing the front knobs, and simply snaps into each chosen base.

There is a choice of more upright or more reclined seating with the use of the rear slot mounts. An additional 35˚ of weight shift Tilt-in-Space is obtained while the child is in the seat.

Body supports maintain correct postural management from a young age. These include headrest, hip guides and trunk thoracics which can be readily adjusted or removed completely, as the child’s sitting ability develops.

Features include:

  • Weight shift tilt in space
  • Recline adjustment
  • Growth adjustment
  • Wipeable covers
  • Reverse facing seat an option

  • Shuttle activity tray table

The Medifab Shuttle tray system is an essential add-on for enhancing the user's development and for aiding feeding/interaction with others.

Constructed from a black ABS plastic with a continuous rim around the sides and front.

    Available in two variations:

    1. Standard depth and height adjustment - suitable for users who can sit upright. Code 2005 7101
    2. Upgraded to Tilt adjustable - ideal for users who either need to use a little seat tilt or have vision impairment. The tray can be tilted down to be level when the seat is tilted or else tilted up to bring objects closer to the user. Code 2005 7170

  • Shuttle Padded Armrests

The padded armrest accessory for the shuttle seat simply inserts into the same tube receivers as the tray uses.

They provide a comfortable resting position for the forearm - great for users with low tone or who like to sleep in the seating system.

    Code 2005 5500 199

  • Shuttle Thigh Wedge

The thigh wedge can be inserted underneath the Shuttle cushion to offer gentle thigh elevation/flexion and helps to maintain pelvis position.
It is attached with hook/loop fastener and can be altered in depth as required using a sharp craft knife.

    Code 2005 0505 060

  • Shuttle Sacral Pad

The Sacral Pad for the Shuttle System is simply inserted into the backrest either in front of the backrest foam or behind - depending on the level of force required.
it is constructed of medium density closed cell foam with hook/loop attachment.

    Code 2005 2510 040

  • Shuttle Goose-necked brackets

For tiny users the goose-neck brackets are required to bring the lateral supports and/or hip/thigh supports closer together to offer the best support.

These brackets are recommended for users with chest or seat widths of 18cm or smaller.

    Code 2005 3135 199 (1 pair)

(Images show lateral and hip/thigh pads attached. These are not included in the above code and come standard on the seating system.)

  • Shuttle Standard Lateral Headrest

The Standard Lateral headrest is a popular option for users with reduced head control. It offers a greater degree of lateral guidance and the users field of vision is maintained.

(The Shuttle Seat comes with an occipital headrest which offers gentle neck support to encourage midline posute and enable the user to sleep whilst maintaining head position when in tilt.)

Each of the headrests mentioned have a tear off leaf on the back of the foam inner which is removable if necessary to reduce the depth of the neck roll.

    Standard Lateral headrest: 2005 4201 209
