A postural management chair that adapts to a variety of sitting and lying positions
The SymmetriCare chair forms an essential part of any 24 hour postural management plan by providing the solution for time out of regular positioning systems such as wheelchairs or task seating.
Whilst unsupportive lounge chairs can put those who are unable to move well at risk of developing an unconventional body shape, the tilt-in-space SymmetriCare chair is flexible to provide support right where it’s needed most.
This is achieved through multipositionable armrests that are removable to facilitate side transfer, an elevating height and angle adjustable footplate, and a multi-adjustable, conformable backrest that can be locked into different positions at a range of adjustment points.
Outstanding Benefits:
If a client has a tendency to lean further to one side, then the SymmetriCare back offers extra lateral and lumbar support just where it counts, with minimum adjustment. This is ideal for multi-carer or multiuser environments where it is often the case that “less is more”.
All fabrics are waterproof and “scrubbable”. Covers are easy to fit and remove and all areas of the chair are easily accessible for easy cleaning.
Often individual castors make things awkward for busy staff to release the brakes and to manoeuvre the chair around – The SymmetriCare offers a single easily accessed brake bar and straighter steering, reducing bumps and collisions.
Multi-adjustable and re-settable
Every aspect of the chair can be adjusted and are calibrated* to help when setting and re-setting the chair.

Sitting can be hard work!
If you find it hard to sit in traditional chairs, then the adjustments available in the SymmetriCare will provide adequate support. The ability to move the upper back and wings independently allows a further degree of accommodation and using the tilt in space will get gravity working for you. This chair is ideal for lying, supine, side/prone or head down for postural drainage.
